Art has always been a part of Jim’s life as long as he can remember. However, it was not until he retired as a Captain of the fire department that he pursued his passion in earnest. Mostly self-taught with some college art classes, he has been showing his work for the past 3- years. Jim was a juried artist at Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park Studio 26, Little Italy Art Walk, Catalina Island Art Festival, Borrego Springs Circle of Art, Coronado Art Association, and Coronado Art Walk where he was a featured artist and received Best in Show. Jim also previously owned his own art gallery in the Park City, Utah area.
Jim has always found painting his landscaped challenging and rewarding, and he continues studying different artistic methods as his work continues to evolve. He is always searching for new inspiration and finds that most inspiration comes from the people who enjoy his work.
